Scott S. Maul

Scott was raised in Middleborough Massachusetts by his single mom and hero Rita. Scott admittedly struggled with many aspects of life and school most of his early life. It was not because he was not smart or intelligent, but because of his personal philosophy, influences, his fixed mindset, and his lack of belief in himself. Growing up without a father who was present and a mother that worked three and four jobs to give her kids the best life possible made it hard growing up. Upon barely graduating from high school Scott joined the United States Army where he met Kelly Hornbeck who completely turn his life upside down. Kelly would change Scott's life forever during basic training and further down the road in advanced training. Kelly taught Scott that we all have the power of life and death in the way we think and speak. From that moment Scott started to transform his thoughts and beliefs into action, building confidence with each passing day and was able to excel extremely fast in the infantry unit he was assigned to. He focused heavily on personal change, personal development and started reading and studying everything he could get his hands on. He would go on to rank advance to Sergeant in just over two years where he would excel as an expert infantryman leading a squad and then a platoon becoming one of the best in the battalion. Once faced with the decision to reenlist or get out of the Army and move on to college. Scott made the decision to pursue a college degree at Georgia Southern University. Being uncertain of his decision and his past failures in life and education, Scott jumped in with both feet working day and night to teach himself how to learn all over again because he admittedly graduated from high school only reading at an eight grade level. He would start to increase his focus on personal development taking a particular interest in leadership, mindset, psychology, and human behavior.  After taking a full year of remedial course work and receiving zero credit, Scott had been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA by putting in countless hours of work at home, in class and with tutors in the tutorial center and then working with teachers during office hours. Scott's confidence was growing daily as he succeeded and amassed exceptional grades. By the end of his first year he would be inducted into several national honor societies and qualify for the Hope Scholarship, A scholarship program that would pay for his entire college career because of his ability to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. Scott received a Bachelors of  Business Administration in Marketing with an emphasis in sales and sales management.
